Our classes are created to suit a group of people with different levels of experience. You will get proper instructions and corrections in each class and you can choose which weights you feel comfortable with. You do not need to know anything or be familiar with the classes offered to join. We are a team and we want all of our members to enjoy the experience with us.
Yes, of course! At our gym, we cater for people of all different levels. It is never too late to start, and you will quickly get the hang of it and see progress.
Our classes are made with the intention of looking after all our clients. We know that everyone have a different focus, where some people want to focus on strength to build muscles, while others want to concentrate on cardio to lose weight, or focus on technique to get the best out of their exercise. So no matter your needs, you can speak with our trainers and they can adjust the fitness class to suit you.
Of course, this all depends on what type of injury it is and the extent of your injuries, so it is always best to inform and check with our staff first. In most cases, it will be totally fine to train, as we can change the exercises to suit you and your limitations.
If you need any physical therapy or sports massage, we can recommend Strong for Life.
That is completely your choice. We can advise on the best proteins and pre-workout to buy and can also help with supplying them at a good price. We also stock an assortment of protein bars, BCAA drinks, vitamin water and more available to purchase at The Tribe.
All of our equipment is free weights apart from our row machine. We have a variety of small barbells, olympic barbells, discs, kettlebells and dumbbells of different weights, so that you can choose a weight that fits you. We also have and frequently use equipment such as skipping ropes, jump boxes, wall balls, slam balls, booty bands, rubber bands and much more. In other words, we have everything needed to offer a varied and fun offering for all levels.
Cross training classes is another name for functional training. Functional training is a type of strength training that basically prepares your body for daily activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling etc. Making your body stronger in these ways helps to prevent injury and can even help to support previous injuries.
You do not need to worry about the use of weights. We have weights that range from 1.25 kg and up, so you certainly don't have to lift heavy. What is more important is doing the exercise correctly, so you'll learn this first and then you can increase the weight in your own time as you wish.
Yes, of course! Any exercise can help you lose weight. How quickly this will go, depends on many factors such as your diet, how many times you train every week etc, but we can help you achieve your goals.
Absolutely not, no. It takes years of hard work, dedication and a very strict diet to become a bodybuilder. Doing cross training every day will make you stronger and give you a much better and more defined shape, but you don't have to worry about building huge (visible) muscles if you don't want this.
There is no specific age range to our classes, we accept members of all ages. All that we ask is that you inform us of any previous injuries and can confirm to us that you are capable to train.
Yes, you can! A member of staff can help to advise you on what you can or can't do exercise-wise whilst you are pregnant and we can easily accommodate and give alternative exercises in classes for more information about the benefits of training whilst pregnant, read our blog here or Contact us to speak with one of our personal trainers and learn more.
It's best to wait until you are 6 weeks postnatal before you get back into the gym, unless you have been signed off sooner by a doctor. If you have had a cesarean section this can be slightly longer, at around 8 weeks, and we prefer that you get confirmation from the doctor prior to your return.
