At The Tribe Bootkamp, we focus on building a community where everyone feels welcome, supported, and motivated to reach their fitness goals. Unlike traditional gyms, we emphasize functional training, offering a variety of classes like Cross-Training, Pilates, and HIIT that are designed to improve your overall fitness, mobility, and strength. We also provide personalized attention from experienced trainers and have flexible class schedules that work with your busy lifestyle.
Cross training classes is another name for functional training. Functional training is a type of strength training that basically prepares your body for daily activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling etc. Making your body stronger in these ways helps to prevent injury and can even help to support previous injuries.
You do not need to worry about the use of weights. We have weights that range from 1.25 kg and up, so you certainly don't have to lift heavy. What is more important is doing the exercise correctly, so you'll learn this first and then you can increase the weight in your own time as you wish.
Yes, of course! Any exercise can help you lose weight. How quickly this will go, depends on many factors such as your diet, how many times you train every week etc, but we can help you achieve your goals.
Absolutely not, no. It takes years of hard work, dedication and a very strict diet to become a bodybuilder. Doing cross training every day will make you stronger and give you a much better and more defined shape, but you don't have to worry about building huge (visible) muscles if you don't want this.
There is no specific age range to our classes, we accept members of all ages. All that we ask is that you inform us of any previous injuries and can confirm to us that you are capable to train.
Yes, you can! A member of staff can help to advise you on what you can or can't do exercise-wise whilst you are pregnant and we can easily accommodate and give alternative exercises in classes for more information about the benefits of training whilst pregnant, read our blog here or Contact us to speak with one of our personal trainers and learn more.
It's best to wait until you are 6 weeks postnatal before you get back into the gym, unless you have been signed off sooner by a doctor. If you have had a cesarean section this can be slightly longer, at around 8 weeks, and we prefer that you get confirmation from the doctor prior to your return.
